A majority of consumers who identified themselves as men living in Australia have NOT had their facial skincare questions answered for the past decade(s)
This survey has seen interesting findings when grouping the responses by the identified biological genders of men and women. For this purpose, the survey results below will use the simplified terms "men" and "women" to refer to the identified biological genders according to the respondents.
Top Skin Concerns
None of the survey respondents selected the option of Unsure when asked about their skin concerns. That tells us that everyone has an idea about our current skin condition. We usually can tell that by what we see through the mirror when we look at our own bare face, as well as what people have commented about our facial skin in the past.
Very interestingly, men have a very significant top skin concern around acne, breakouts, or black/whiteheads (88%) followed by dryness or dehydration (50%). While women's top skin concerns are more spread out from hyperpigmentation or dark spots (70%), to dark eye circles, puffy eyes, or eye bags (65%), to dryness or dehydration (61%), and to acne, breakouts, or black/whiteheads (52%).

SENSITIVITY, REDNESS, OR ITCHINESS: When your skin has this problem, stabilising your skin's sensitivity should be your first and only focus, even if you are also having other concerns like dehydration, pimples, or wrinkles. ACNE, BREAKOUTS, OR BLACK/WHITEHEADS: While treating this concern usually takes some time to persevere through the process, the good news is that I have helped so many customers with this same concern to restore their healthy facial skin again with the right V Magic® facial skincare products and routines, so you are not alone. But beware of oil-controlling products targeting acne-prone skin (especially those containing alcohol) as they may give an impression of clearing out your acne, but what they have been doing could actually be just suppressing the impurities underneath your skin instead of really flushing them out. Over time, these buried impurities can form milia seeds that gradually become part of your face. You won't want that.
FINE LINES, AGEING, WRINKLES, OR SAGGY SKIN: Ah, you would want to treat this one early but correctly. Sometimes your lines are actually just 'false lines' that can be treated by simply restoring your skin hydration. RECENT SUNBURNT: V Magic® Bio-cellulose Extreme Repair Mask (better known as the carrot mask or the X bio mask) is the most effective immediate treatment for sunburnt skin injury to minimise scar or spot formation. Sun protection is so important that if you feel seriously lazy to do facial skincare one day, I would ask that you at least put on sunscreen. But not all sunscreens in the market are equal as it is common to find the ones formulated with unfriendly ingredients. The higher the Sun Protection Factor (SPF), the more the UV-protection ingredients inside, and too much of those could be overly burdening to our skin just like what putting on heavy makeup does to our facial skin. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a great ingredient to improve skin hydration, but not all products with HA in the market are equal. What you need is HA with a molecular weight of 50,000 Dalton or below in order for it to reach and sit in your deep skin layers to do its hydrating job. The HA used in many hydrating products in the market is commonly 1,000,000 Dalton and above, which makes it stay on your skin's surface layer. So to be sure, you can ask your skincare product consultation for the molecular weight of the HA used in your considered hydration product.
HYPERPIGMENTATION OR DARK SPOTS: Actually, spots are not bad things. They are a result of the overproduction of melanin as our skin's natural response to protect us from skin injuries (sun damage, scar, etc.). With hyperpigmentation and dark spots, your best strategy is to prevent them from forming. That is why putting on an effective & safe sunscreen every day is super important especially in a country with such a high UV exposure like Australia even if you only stay indoors, because the harmful UV rays shine through glass windows and doors. Greatest Challenges when it comes to Facial Skincare
When asked about how much time was spent on their current skincare routine on average each time, 75% of men said they spent less than 5 minutes in their daily skincare routine, while 65% of women said they spent slightly more time up to 15 minutes in their daily skincare routine.
Lifestyle in Australia is generally busy and people don't have much time for facial skincare, especially in the morning before they start their new hectic day and at night when all they need is great rest, which calls for an efficient and effective facial skincare routine that they can reasonably and comfortably maintain every day.

Consistent facial skincare routines will only reward you with healthier skin over time, it is worth all the efforts and investment. But if you have been consistent in your facial skincare routine for more than a few months but still have not seen much improvement on your skin, you might want to reconsider the products you are using, whether they are effective for your skin condition or not. Not causing sensitivity but also not improving your skin condition is not good enough.

AFFORDABLE PRODUCT PRICE POINT OR VALUE FOR MONEY? Having tried different price points of facial skincare products from the very affordable brands from the supermarkets to the very high-end luxury brands from the skincare boutique counters, I can conclude that V Magic® facial skincare products suite has been overdelivering for the value of money I paid for, because they are not priced close to those from the luxury brands, but the results they bring through the gentlest formulations surpass many of those from the luxury brands.

PRODUCT PACKAGING, DESIGN, AND PRESENTATION? I am one who loves and appreciates works of art and beautiful things - I hope you could tell a little of that by the designs of this website and IG @vmagicaustralia posts. While I can't take credit for the packaging and design of V Magic® facial skincare products, in my opinion, the brand's Founder Michael did a great job in continually improving the designs of the product packaging. One aspect I can highlight, is on the tiny opening of every bottle, dispenser, or tube even for the cream products - they are not packed in containers with a large opening. This was deliberately decided and designed in order to minimise the product exposure to the air during each usage, which inevitably can gradually reduce the effectiveness of the formulated ingredients. The only V Magic® product that is packed in a small container with relatively the biggest opening is the travel-sized Duol Refine Buffer Scrub, for the purpose of easier access due to its thicker texture.
AVAILABILITY AND CONVENIENCE TO PURCHASE? I designed and developed this website to solve this very problem. And instead of relying on facial analysis machines that stationed at certain locations, I honed my skills and expertise to analyse skin conditions and treatment focus areas through no-filter clear pictures of your bare face from the front, left, and right. I have tried many facial skin analyser softwares online, but I have not found one that works reliably.
